It was cruel, and it was wrong!

Hello feels, how kind of you to drop by.  ._.

I was so proud of him during this scene. He’s done one of the hardest things an abused child can do: understand that he didn’t deserve it.

okay it’s just raining on my face

;A;

Can’t even front.

This scene stirred some deep emotions in me.

It was powerful.

Part of why I love Zuko more than anybody in the damned series

Italics mine, because omg truth.

Sudden thought!

Okay, so.

Playing in the Republic city tour thing on Nick.com and learning all sort of tidbits, along with stuff I already knew.

And suddenly I start thinking about the fact that Aang died pretty young in part because he used up his long Avatar life in the iceberg (;;_;;). And that Kyoshi, the longest lived Avatar, lived to be 230. But generally the Avatar is expected to live a long time unless something kills them.

So.

If this happens with Korra.

Like, if she lives to be like 150.

That would take her to like, the future.

Relative to us.

Because obviously this is a different world with an alternate history.

But it clearly sort of parallels our own.

And the first series was like the mid-1800s.

And now this series is like the 1910s-1920s.

Which means that 150 years in the future would be

like the 2070s.

Which is the future.

So that last one was mostly fantasy with some steampunk elements.

This one is a more full blown steampunk with deeply incorporated fantasy laws.

And like.

The next Avatar.

Could be a full blown fantasy SciFi with all the same Asian culture and stuff just brought into the future.

And we’d get these three really different shows.

All in the same universe.

All with the same excellent writing and characterizations and such.

I am in favor of this.

HOLY SHIT HAS EVERYONE SEEN THIS BECAUSE IT LOOKS LEGIT!!!!

WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS?!

AT AVATARSPIRIT.NET. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE GOT THIS. OBVIOUSLY TOPH REPRODUCED ASEXUALLY BECAUSE LIN HAS NO FATHER

TONRAQ AND SENNA KDSJFLKOIIIFFJFFFJALKK;;
They’re both waterbenders OH MY GOD
(this was a link from animationinsider btw)

UNKNOWN FATHER.
UNKNOWN FATHER.
UNKNOWN.

Okay, because her surname is Bei Fong, it was already my headcanon that Toph just got knocked up and went “fuck yeah fierce ass single motherhood, no I’m not telling you who the father is that is none of your beezewax”, but the UNKNOWN FATHER thing here is just solidifying that for me.
Toph was a fierce as fuck single mother, and she had no shame about it whatsoever, and when people tried to be all shaming about it Toph would be like “DO YOU NEED ME TO METALBEND YOUR ASS TO THE GROUND” and then she would commit some minor violence and the shaming assholes would be like “Hey Firelord, stop her violence!” and Zuko would be like “I DIDN’T SEE ANYTHING. YOU PROBABLY IMAGINED IT WHILE YOU WERE SLUTSHAMING MY FRIEND. DID YOU SEE ANYTHING AVATAR AANG?” “I SAW A LESSON IN MASTERFUL EARTHBENDING FROM MASTER BEI FONG! TROLOLOL. But seriously, though. That was clearly defense.” “It clearly was.” “Well done, Master Bei Fong. Also, Katara would like to invite you over for dinner. Would you like to bring Mai, Firelord? We can have a night of it.”, “I think that sounds wonderful, Avatar Aang, and will gladly accept your invitation,” “Yes, very nice indeed,” “Truly.”

I second all opinions below.

Underrated in 2011: I listen to a lot of podcasts (all of which I would immediately sing the praises of) and while I added many subscriptions this year, The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show deserves a very specific shout out. Rubin has a dedication to pursuing unique and thoroughly intriguing guests. From Kirk Fogg to The Daily What’s Nitzan, you are going to learn something fascinating in every episode. Sure Marc Maron can get inside the head of the comedian, but Jeff Rubin is diving into things you never knew you wanted to know about.

“I remember being really tiny and the actual stick - the pole on the head of the monkey that you had to stick through to hit the button - was super long. And you had all these tiny kids who would try to grab the head of the monkey and the pole would be too long when you were grabbing it from the top.”
- Legends of the Hidden Temple winner Anthony explaining why the Silver Monkey was so difficult on this week’s Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show.
In this episode you’ll learn everything you ever wanted to know about Nickelodeon gameshow Legends of the Hidden Temple, and probably a great deal more. We cover both sides of the game with host Kirk Fogg and victorious contestant Anthony.
As always, two versions of the show -
The enhanced version on iTunes - This comes with pictures that pop up at pre-determined times to illustrate what we’re talking about, but it only works on Apple devices and in iTunes itself. The pictures appear where the album art usually would.
The regular version at JeffRubinJeffRubinShow.com - This is a vanilla MP3 that works on everything from Android to Zune.

If you listen to one thing today, it should be this.

This is phenomenal journalism.

Reblogging because I just listened to this and Dee Bradley Baker was the voice of Olmec and HOW DID I NOT KNOW BEFORE THAT DEE BRADLEY BAKER WAS THE VOICE OF OLMEC.
APPA and MOMO and OLMEC.
YUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
