Sailor Moon is getting an make-over for 2013, and get ready to be surprised that Sailor Moon wasn’t what you thought it was, as explained by Caitlin Donovan.
Oh! Well, this is me, guys. Bouvier asked me to write an article on Sailor Moon for this excellent mag and so I did.
CLAMP’s Cardcaptor Sakura Wedding Dress Hit The Runway as part of Tokyo Bridal Festa’s fashion show! ^^
FUCKING
ADORABLE
Tomoyo would be proud.
THIS IS THE GREATEST THING EVER!!!!
Finally a legit a transformation!
OMG Manga accuracy. This is awesome.
Mamoru: It’s strange…(his hand glows) power is swelling up in me…It’s as if Chibiusa gave me the resolve I needed, she gave me her strength…and Hotaru gave me power too…
(His body goes transparent as he transforms)
Usako! I’m coming to help you too!
TUXEDO MASK DRAMATIC POSE
Yeah so for the record Mamoru TOTALLY had a naked transformation sequence in the manga. OBSERVE. Note that you can see the outline of his pecs the same way you can see the outlines of the Senshi’s curves. One panel and all transparent and ambiguous, but that’s how the Senshi’s transformations were in the manga- always restricted to one panel, with so much light you could barely even see the outline. I love this. TRANSFORMATION EQUALITY!
Also I love how he’s like “OMG CHIBIUSA AND HER GIRLFRIEND HAVE GIVEN ME THEIR AWESOME RESOLVE AND STRENGTH!” Manga Mamoru is fantastic like that, he’s always baldly admitting that he gets power and strength from the example of his girlfriend or daughter, and that he looks up to the ladies and they inspire him with their bravery.
Also he is totally trying to me Batman here. And sparkling as he does it. MANGA MAMORU I WILL TAKE YOU OVER EDWARD CULLEN ANY DAY.
I thought I was over manga Mamoru until I was reading the new reprinted American manga release.
And it all came back.
Manga Mamoru (a very distinct character from Anime Mamoru) may still my favourite fictional boyfriend ever written in anything ever.
The dork.
RECOMMENDATION: HOUROU MUSUKO (wandering son)
Just in case any of my followers hadn’t heard of it. Hourou Musuko is an ongoing manga series and recent anime series.
Shuichi Nitori and his new friend Yoshino Takatsuki have happy homes, loving families, and are well-liked by their classmates. But they share a secret that further complicates a time of life that is awkward for anyone: Shuichi is a boy who wants to be a girl, and Yoshino is a girl who wants to be a boy.
The first volume of the manga is available for purchase here. And the anime can be streamed online here. The second edition of the manga will have an English language release in November. If it’s anything like volume one it will be really beautiful book. I haven’t read past volume one of the manga, because I have a hard time reading manga online (the images are often just a bit too small for me and I get a headache), so don’t spoil me if you’re reading online. And if you’re reading online, do try to support the official release if it’s within your means. I’d like to see more stories like this made and more of them brought to this continent. :D
I am SO FUCKING EXCITED.
ALSO SAILOR V MANGA, WHICH HAS NEVER BEFORE BEEN RELEASED IN THE USA!!!

AHHHHHH!!!
