There is so much I love about this scene.  Michiru’s disturbing armageddon painting all framed prettily over the staircase is so epically awesome I can’t even.

Michiru being all delicate and flirty and also determined and hardass all at the same time.  Haruka trying to be her usual dismissive too-cool-for-school self and sort of faltering internally.

Michiru’s little fist squeeze at the end. ;_;

UGH.

I mean, I was all excited about my R re-watch plans but there are no Haruka/Michiru in R.  I need to watch S now. WTF SELF.

OH, what is their ship name?  Is it like MichiHaru? Or what? Tell me.

luna-whiskers:

Yesterday I tried to do some last-minute shopping in the nearby bookstore before work.  I was surprised to see they had all the new Sailor Moon/V manga on display, since everywhere else I’ve checked didn’t know or didn’t care about the rerelease (which is why I’m an entire volume behind—I had to get a friend who works in a comic shop to convince his boss to order it).

Just then a little girl, maybe 8 or 9, came around the corner with her mom or aunt or something.  “Come see which Sailor Moons I have!”  She proclaimed.  It was very, very important to this little girl that her mom see that she is the proud owner of the first volume, and what it looked like. “I don’t have the second one yet,” she explained, “so I just need the second one, and then the third one!”  It was clear that she didn’t actually know how many volumes lay ahead of her.  She must have been a first-time reader.

And I guess that’s mindblowing to me, that there are little girls discovering it for the first time.  It’s not just a twenty-year-old show that people talk about with passing nostalgia.
