It was posted by someone I don’t know, and I only had a friend who was tagged “in” it, which is why I didn’t respond with a very kind and polite and passive “Here’s every fucking thing that is fucked up about this” - starting with the implication that women who participate in feminine, appearance-based behaviours are somehow no longer real women; moving on to how there’s nothing that can undo the realness of a man or woman’s man- or womanhood and implying there is is shitty and invalidating; and eventually ending on Do You Think Women Happily Volunteered For The Narrow-Ass Marginalizing Beauty Standard They Are Subject To Or What? Blame the fucking patriarchy, you huge douchebag.
