It still needs to pass in the house, but it is expected to. 

It currently looks like it will likely be signed into law early next week.

I am so excited, but so nervous. I am almost afraid to get my hopes up. 

While I don’t live there any more, this is my home state, and this law would directly affect (and improve!) the lives of many of my dearest friends.
